What is it?

Do you like writing? Do you like to create stories, poems, or any other form of literature? Do you want your voice to be heard? Penguin Random House is looking for NYC seniors who write with a clear, strong, and passionate voice. People who are daring, original, and unafraid to take risks to express their opinions are the perfect fit for this competition.  Random House has been giving away over $2 million in scholarship with this contest since the 1993. Be someone who is willing to “express what everyone knows, but no one will say.” In addition, if you’re also creative and artistic, you can submit a graphic novel. All writing pieces are judged based on their technical merit; graphic novels are judged based on storytelling and design.
