How to Spend the Summer 101

Besides spending the summer traveling the world and relaxing with friends and family, you can also choose to work and make some profit. One wonderful program is the Summer Youth Employment program (SYEP) and/or the NYC Ladders for Leaders program. Students from the age of 16-24 are able to get paid to work for up to six weeks during July and August. They can work in a variety of entry-level jobs such as government agencies, hospitals, summer camps, nonprofits, small businesses, law firms, museums, and many more! To be eligible to for the program, you must complete the application on People in eleventh grade and older can also apply for the Leaders for Ladders program, which provides paid professional summer internships with leading corporations, non-profit organizations, and government agencies in NYC. The deadline is April 25, 2016.
