BSNL Launches Silver Jubilee Recharge Plan With 2.5GB Daily Data and Special Anniversary Benefits

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has unveiled a new Silver Jubilee prepaid recharge plan, marking the state-owned telecom operator’s 25-year milestone. The special edition offering is designed to reward loyal subscribers while attracting new users with a combination of high-value data and calling benefits.

🔹 What the Silver Jubilee Plan Offers

The newly launched plan promises 2.5GB of high-speed data per day, making it one of BSNL’s most data-heavy offerings in the affordable segment. Once the daily limit is exhausted, users can continue browsing at reduced speeds without additional charges.

The pack also includes:

  • Unlimited voice calls across all networks

  • 100 SMS per day

  • Complimentary access to select BSNL value-added services

  • Free national roaming, including in MTNL areas

🔹 Limited-Period Availability Across All Circles

BSNL has confirmed that the Silver Jubilee plan will be available across all telecom circles, though its availability window may vary locally. The initiative aligns with BSNL’s ongoing efforts to revitalize its prepaid segment as it continues preparing for nationwide 4G deployment.

🔹 Strategy to Compete With Private Telcos

The government-backed operator is positioning this special recharge pack as a high-value alternative to the offerings from private players like Jio, Airtel, and Vi. With rising data consumption across the country, BSNL aims to appeal to heavy users seeking economical daily data limits.

Industry watchers suggest that anniversary-themed packs often help legacy operators boost recharges and re-engage dormant subscribers, a trend BSNL may be hoping to replicate.

🔹 A Push Toward Customer Retention and Market Relevance

For BSNL, which has been under pressure to modernize and retain users, the Silver Jubilee plan is expected to generate renewed user interest. The company is also banking on its ongoing network upgrades and the upcoming rollout of indigenous 4G technology to regain lost ground.
