Elon Musk Slams Ex-Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal: 'Fired… Got Nothing Done!

Tech billionaire and X (formerly Twitter) owner Elon Musk has once again taken a swipe at former Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal, stating that Agrawal was "fired" because he "got nothing done." The comment, which surfaced in a recent online discussion, has reignited debate over Musk’s controversial takeover of the social media platform.

Musk, who acquired Twitter for $44 billion in October 2022, dismissed Agrawal along with several top executives shortly after finalizing the deal. His latest remark appears to reinforce his longstanding criticism of Twitter’s previous leadership, whom he has accused of inefficiency and mismanagement.

Agrawal, who took over as Twitter CEO in November 2021 after Jack Dorsey stepped down, had a relatively short tenure at the company. During his leadership, he focused on content moderation policies and enhancing Twitter’s technical infrastructure. However, his time as CEO was overshadowed by Musk’s turbulent acquisition, which led to legal battles and internal chaos.

Musk has repeatedly claimed that Twitter, now rebranded as X, needed a radical transformation, which he has sought to implement through mass layoffs, subscription-based services, and a push toward an "everything app" vision. Critics, however, argue that his leadership has led to declining ad revenue and a chaotic user experience.

Agrawal has remained largely silent on Musk’s repeated criticisms. After his departure, he reportedly received a substantial exit package and has since kept a low profile in the tech industry.

Musk’s latest jab underscores his no-holds-barred approach to leadership and his willingness to publicly call out former executives. Whether Agrawal will respond to Musk’s remark remains to be seen.
