Lava Agni 4 Teased: Dual Cameras and Big Battery Hint at Budget Powerhouse

Homegrown smartphone maker Lava has officially teased its upcoming Lava Agni 4, hinting at a sleek new design and modern dual-camera system. The teaser offers a glimpse of the phone’s rear module, confirming a dual-sensor setup positioned vertically — a shift from the triple-camera array seen on its predecessor. The Agni lineup is known for delivering solid mid-range performance, and the fourth generation aims to continue that legacy with refined hardware and enhanced efficiency.

🔸 Certification Listing Reveals Battery Capacity

According to a recent listing on a certification platform, believed to be BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards) or an equivalent international database, the Lava Agni 4 is expected to pack a substantial battery, reportedly around 5,000mAh. This large capacity should offer extended screen-on time and reliable endurance for multimedia and gaming. Although charging details remain undisclosed, fast charging support similar to the Agni 2’s 66W capability could make a return.

🔸 Expected Specifications and Design Upgrades

Early reports and leaks suggest that the Agni 4 might feature a 6.7-inch FHD+ display with a high refresh rate, powered by a MediaTek Dimensity chipset for smooth 5G performance. Lava’s focus on clean Android software and bloatware-free experience is also likely to continue. In terms of design, renders show a refined, curved-edge back panel and metallic finish, catering to users looking for premium looks at an affordable price point.

🔸 Lava’s Continued Push for Indian Smartphone Innovation

With the Agni 4, Lava appears committed to strengthening its position in India’s competitive smartphone market. Following the success of the Lava Agni 2, which garnered praise for its AMOLED display and smooth UI, the Agni 4 could become a strong contender in the sub-₹20,000 segment. As local brands reemerge in the 5G race, Lava’s latest device could symbolize a broader comeback for Made-in-India technology innovation.
