Lava Bold N1 Pro and Bold N1 4G: Budget 5G and 4G Smartphones Launch in India

Indian smartphone maker Lava International has announced the launch of two new budget-friendly devices in its Bold series — the Bold N1 Pro and Bold N1 4G. With these new entries, Lava aims to reinforce its presence in the affordable smartphone segment, offering feature-rich devices tailored for everyday users without compromising on value.

Designed for Affordability and Functionality

Targeting budget-conscious consumers, the Bold N1 Pro and Bold N1 4G come equipped with specifications that cater to daily productivity, media consumption, and light gaming. The company has focused on delivering a clean Android experience, decent performance, and reliable battery life — all within an accessible price point.

“We are committed to empowering Indian consumers with high-quality smartphones that meet their needs without breaking the bank,” said Sunil Raina, President and Business Head at Lava International, during the virtual launch event. “The Bold N1 Pro and Bold N1 4G reflect our dedication to making advanced features more accessible to the masses.”

Lava Bold N1 Pro: Feature-Packed for the Price

The Bold N1 Pro is the more premium of the two and supports 5G connectivity. It sports a 6.6-inch HD+ IPS LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate, delivering smoother scrolling and better visuals for multimedia. Under the hood, the device is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ chipset paired with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, expandable via microSD.

In terms of optics, the phone features a dual rear camera setup comprising a 50MP primary sensor and a 2MP depth sensor. For selfies, there's an 8MP front camera housed in a teardrop notch. The device is backed by a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging via USB-C.

Other highlights include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, Android 14 with minimal bloatware, and support for Indian regional languages.

Lava Bold N1 4G: Essentials Done Right

For users who don’t require 5G, the Bold N1 4G offers a slightly pared-down but still robust feature set. It comes with a 6.5-inch HD+ display and is powered by the MediaTek Helio G37 processor, coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage.

The N1 4G retains the same 50MP main camera and 8MP selfie shooter as its 5G sibling, making it an appealing option for social media users and casual photographers. The battery capacity remains 5,000mAh, ensuring all-day usage, although the charging is limited to 10W.

This model also runs on near-stock Android 13 and includes a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor for added security.

Pricing and Availability

The Bold N1 Pro is priced at ₹10,999, while the Bold N1 4G will retail for ₹7,999. Both smartphones will be available for purchase starting June 3, 2025, across major e-commerce platforms including Amazon and Flipkart, as well as Lava’s official website and authorized offline retailers.

A Push for “Make in India”

As part of its continued support for the government’s Make in India initiative, Lava highlighted that both devices are designed and manufactured domestically. The company also reiterated its focus on job creation and skill development in local communities.

Conclusion

With the launch of the Bold N1 Pro and Bold N1 4G, Lava is doubling down on its strategy to capture a larger share of India’s vast budget smartphone market. By offering a compelling mix of affordability and functionality, the homegrown brand is positioning itself as a strong contender against Chinese rivals in the sub-₹12,000 segment.
