Redmi Note 15 Pro+ and Note 15 Pro India Launch Timeline Leaked: Everything We Know So Far

According to multiple industry insiders, Xiaomi is preparing to introduce the Redmi Note 15 Pro and Redmi Note 15 Pro+ in India in early 2025, possibly around January or February. The devices are expected to debut first in China by the end of 2024 before arriving in the Indian market with identical specifications and localized software optimization.

The Redmi Note 15 Pro series will succeed the Redmi Note 14 lineup, which was launched earlier this year, and aims to strengthen Xiaomi’s foothold in the upper mid-range smartphone market.

Expected Design and Display Upgrades

Leaked renders suggest the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ will feature a curved-edge AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 2,000 nits peak brightness, giving it a flagship-like viewing experience. The standard Note 15 Pro is likely to come with a flat AMOLED panel while maintaining the same refresh rate and resolution.

The design is expected to include a glass back panel, metallic frame, and a centrally aligned camera island, continuing the aesthetic trend introduced in the Note 14 Pro+.

Performance: Powered by MediaTek Dimensity 8300 Ultra

Both phones are rumored to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8300 Ultra SoC, built on a 4nm process for efficient performance and improved thermals. The chipset will be paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage, ensuring blazing-fast multitasking and app performance.

These hardware specs suggest that the Redmi Note 15 Pro series will compete directly with the Realme 13 Pro+ and iQOO Neo 10 in India’s sub-₹30,000 category.

Camera System: Sony IMX890 Sensor Expected

The Redmi Note 15 Pro+ is tipped to feature a 200MP Samsung ISOCELL HP3 sensor with OIS support, while the Note 15 Pro may include a 50MP Sony IMX890 main sensor. Both phones will come equipped with ultrawide and macro lenses for versatile photography.

Front cameras are expected to be 32MP shooters, optimized for AI-enhanced selfies and low-light portraits.

Battery and Charging: 120W HyperCharge on the Pro+

Battery performance is another highlight — the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ is said to pack a 5,000mAh battery with 120W fast charging, while the Note 15 Pro may feature a slightly slower 67W fast charge. Xiaomi’s proprietary HyperCharge technology ensures a full charge in under 20 minutes for the higher variant.

Expected Price and Availability in India

Based on leaks and Xiaomi’s pricing strategy, the Redmi Note 15 Pro is expected to start around ₹24,999, while the Note 15 Pro+ could be priced near ₹29,999. The series is likely to be available via Mi.com, Amazon India, and offline Xiaomi retail stores.

Software and Connectivity

Both models will run on HyperOS based on Android 15 out of the box, ensuring smoother animations and improved privacy controls. Connectivity options include 5G SA/NSA, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.4, and an IR blaster, continuing Xiaomi’s tradition of feature-rich midrange smartphones.

Conclusion

The Redmi Note 15 Pro series appears to be a major upgrade in design, performance, and charging technology. With a premium build, powerful chipset, and aggressive pricing, Xiaomi aims to dominate the upper mid-range smartphone segment once again.
