Samsung Sees 40% Surge in Premium Smartphone Sales; Smart TV Demand Doubles in Festive Season

Strong Festive Demand Boosts Samsung’s Market Performance

Samsung has witnessed a remarkable surge in sales across its premium product segments during India’s ongoing festive season. According to company data, premium smartphone sales surged by 40% year-on-year, while the smart TV category saw sales double compared to the same period last year. This sharp uptick underscores strong consumer sentiment and Samsung’s expanding footprint in India’s high-end electronics market.

Galaxy S and Fold Series Drive Smartphone Momentum

The company attributed much of its premium smartphone growth to strong performance from the Galaxy S24 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold6, and Galaxy Z Flip6 models. These devices, known for their advanced AI features and top-tier performance, have become popular choices among affluent consumers and tech enthusiasts. Samsung also benefited from attractive exchange offers, cashback deals, and easy financing options that made premium devices more accessible during the festive shopping spree.

Smart TVs Become the Star of Home Entertainment

On the consumer electronics front, Samsung’s smart TV sales doubled compared to last year, driven by the rising demand for QLED, Neo QLED, and OLED models. The company said that larger screen sizes and smart features like voice assistance and AI upscaling are becoming increasingly preferred by Indian households. The festive season, coupled with cricket tournaments and holiday entertainment, further fueled the demand for home entertainment devices.

Retail and Online Channels Both Contribute

Samsung highlighted that both offline retail stores and online e-commerce platforms contributed to the surge. The brand’s “Samsung Festive Sale” campaign, offering deep discounts and cashback of up to ₹15,000, drew heavy traffic across sales channels. The company’s robust supply chain and local manufacturing initiatives also ensured uninterrupted product availability during the high-demand period.

Samsung Strengthens Its Lead in India’s Premium Segment

With these results, Samsung has solidified its position as one of India’s top-selling premium smartphone and TV brands. The company said it expects this strong momentum to continue through Diwali and beyond, as consumers increasingly prioritize quality, innovation, and ecosystem integration across devices.
