Unveiled in a company announcement earlier this week, the latest update integrates Zoom’s AI Companion—its intelligent assistant—into nearly every corner of the Zoom Workplace ecosystem, from meetings and chats to email, calendar, and document collaboration tools. The move is part of Zoom’s broader push to transform its platform from a video conferencing tool into a fully-fledged productivity hub.
Smarter Meetings, Automated Follow-Ups
Among the most prominent upgrades is the deepening of AI capabilities in Zoom Meetings. Users can now rely on the AI Companion to automatically generate meeting agendas, take notes in real-time, summarize discussions, and even assign action items—without any human intervention.
