OnePlus 15 Pops Up on Geekbench With Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 & Android 16

The upcoming OnePlus 15 has been spotted on benchmarking platform Geekbench, revealing key performance details ahead of its official launch. The listing confirms that the flagship will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chipset and will run on the latest Android 16 operating system, making it one of the earliest smartphones to adopt the new software.

Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 Under the Hood

According to the Geekbench listing, the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 is paired with 12GB of RAM, ensuring seamless multitasking and top-tier gaming performance. The chipset is expected to be Qualcomm’s most powerful mobile processor yet, built on advanced fabrication technology to deliver higher efficiency and improved AI-driven features.

Impressive Geekbench Scores

The OnePlus 15 achieved 2,145 points in single-core tests and 6,789 points in multi-core performance, putting it among the fastest Android devices tested so far. These scores indicate significant improvements in raw performance, positioning the smartphone as a strong contender against rival flagships like the Samsung Galaxy S25 and Xiaomi 15 Ultra.

Software and UI Enhancements

Running on Android 16 out of the box, the OnePlus 15 is expected to come with OxygenOS layered on top, bringing enhanced personalization, AI integration, and smoother animations. This move places OnePlus ahead in adopting the newest Android features, including upgraded privacy controls and deeper generative AI functions.

Expected Launch Timeline

Although OnePlus has yet to confirm an official launch date, reports suggest the OnePlus 15 may debut later this year, likely in October 2025. With flagship-level specs and early adoption of cutting-edge technology, it is poised to be one of the most anticipated Android smartphones of the year.
