OnePlus has officially unveiled the OnePlus Pad 3, its latest Android tablet that boasts a powerful performance upgrade, enhanced battery life, and a sleek metal unibody. Announced during a dedicated launch event in China, the tablet is expected to roll out to other markets, including India, later this year.
Flagship-Level Performance
At the heart of the OnePlus Pad 3 is Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 (branded as Snapdragon 8 Elite in China) — a top-tier mobile chipset found in many 2025 flagship smartphones. This processor is paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage, promising fluid multitasking, gaming, and productivity experiences.
This marks a significant performance leap from its predecessor, the OnePlus Pad, which was powered by a MediaTek Dimensity chip.
Stunning Display and Premium Design
The OnePlus Pad 3 sports a 12.1-inch 3K LCD display, offering a resolution of 3000 x 2120 pixels with a 144Hz refresh rate, Dolby Vision support, and peak brightness of 900 nits. The bezels are slim, contributing to an immersive viewing experience, while the device retains the aluminum unibody with a centered rear camera design — a signature of the OnePlus tablet line.
Massive Battery and Fast Charging
Powering the device is a huge 12,140 mAh battery, which OnePlus claims can deliver up to 12 hours of video playback on a single charge. Supporting 67W SUPERVOOC fast charging, the tablet can be fully charged in just over an hour, making it one of the fastest-charging tablets in its category.
Productivity-Focused Features
The Pad 3 runs on OxygenOS 14 based on Android 14, optimized for large screens. It includes multitasking features like split-screen, floating windows, and OnePlus's Cross-Screen Interconnection — allowing seamless integration with OnePlus smartphones and PCs.
An updated OnePlus Smart Magnetic Keyboard and OnePlus Stylo 2 stylus will be available as optional accessories, turning the tablet into a powerful work or study companion.
Camera and Audio
The OnePlus Pad 3 includes a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front-facing camera. While photography isn't its main focus, the setup is adequate for document scanning and video calls. The quad-speaker system, enhanced by Dolby Atmos, aims to deliver a rich audio experience whether you're watching content or on conference calls.
Pricing and Availability
While OnePlus has not yet announced global pricing, the OnePlus Pad 3 starts at CNY 2,599 (approx. ₹30,000) in China for the base variant. Indian and global pricing details are expected in the coming weeks.
What to Expect
The OnePlus Pad 3 is shaping up to be a premium Android tablet that strikes a balance between performance, productivity, and affordability. With its flagship-grade chipset and massive battery, it aims to compete with the likes of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE+, Xiaomi Pad 6 Max, and Lenovo’s Tab Extreme.
